6th grade Band & 7/8th grade band 

 Hi!!! I am so excited to start the 2018-2019 school year at Attica Middle School. My name is Ms. Stephanie Michalek and I will be your Middle School Band Director for 6th grade and 7/8 grade. 

While I have had the privilege of working with some of the students last year, I am looking forward to starting off the year with a new beginning. I want music to be a learning experience that is fun because music is a lifelong experience.

My Present:

In school: I am the 6th and 7/8th grade Band Teacher. I will be teaching group lessons and two performance groups.  I am a strong believer that parents and teachers should have a good working relationship to ensure the success of a child and this program. Please do not hesitate to contact me, so that this year can be a success. 

Outside of school:   

In my free time, (which is hard to find sometimes), I  enjoy zumba, cooking, traveling, shopping, and my dogs. 

My future: 

My long-term goal is to create a learning environment in the classroom for many years to come. I also want to further my education. 

My past:

In 2010, I graduated from Nazareth College with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, specializing in instrumental music. I then continued my education and currently received my Master's from Nazareth College in Inclusive Childhood Education. Not only have I been teaching in this district, I am also an alumna of Attica Central School. I am pleased to be back in my home district, and proud to be a teacher in this district.
